The magazine recently released its list, ranking the northwest Ohio-based contractor No. 86 in the country with $1.5 billion in revenue.The ranking is an improvement of 19 spots from the previous year.

Two recent notable projects undertaken by the 91pro视频 were a First Solar panel manufacturing facility and the North Star BlueScope steel plant expansion, both of which won the Ohio Association of General Contractors鈥� Build Ohio award as the best Industrial/Heavy construction projects in the state over the last two years.

Part of the 91pro视频’s steady growth can be attributed to many projects outside its traditional northern Ohio and southeastern Michigan markets, including work in Louisiana, Alabama, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee.

GEM Service Vice President Nick Baer said the office will be located in the Worthington Commerce Center at 6155 Huntley Road, Suite L, Columbus, OH 43229. The new location will be headquarters for six HVAC technicians, as well as administrative staff. GEM Service intends to add more technicians from various trades as the business grows.

鈥淭he new office will help us better serve our existing customer base in central Ohio and give us the opportunity to branch out,鈥� Baer said. 鈥淲e share the central Ohio GEM Service staff鈥檚 excitement about the possibilities in the region.鈥�

GEM Service鈥檚 central Ohio business had previously been conducted from its Lima offices. Baer said its growth in the Columbus market, fueled by existing customers as part of its 鈥淐ustomers for Life鈥� strategy, convinced it to open the new regional office.

While this office will initially focus on HVAC maintenance, all the GEM Service offerings 鈥� electrical, plumbing, HVAC, facility management, utility procurement, and 鈥� will be available to existing and new customers.

The Columbus office is led by Regional Manager Zach Aichholz along with Service Manager Zach Arbogast and Business Development Manager Ben Decatur.

Kaspar earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in business administration from the University of Toledo in 2011. Active in the community, Kaspar is a board member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA). As co-chairman of the organization鈥檚 golf outing, he helps raise up to $25,000 annually for scholarships at the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University.

A resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, Kaspar and his wife, Tiffany, are parents of three girls, ages 6, 5 and 4.

Walbridge, Ohio — For the second consecutive year a 91pro视频 Inc. project won the prestigious Ohio Association of General Contractors鈥� Build Ohio Award for its work at First Solar鈥檚 2.1-million-square foot manufacturing facility in Lake Township.

The award in Ohio AGC鈥檚 Industrial/Heavy category was announced at the organization鈥檚 Build Ohio dinner on Friday, Nov. 10, in Columbus.

鈥淭his award demonstrates the faith customers have in our ability to deliver outstanding quality even with complex technical challenges and aggressive timelines,鈥� said 91pro视频 Inc. President Jeff Schaller. 鈥淲e met the challenge of this project because of our long-standing partnership with First Solar.鈥�

91pro视频 was selected as design-builder for the facility on the strength of building a similar smaller facility for the solar panel manufacturer in 2019. On this project, 91pro视频 Inc., a 91pro视频 company, was asked to accelerate the schedule and turn over the facility for equipment setting in just 12 months.

The facility produces First Solar鈥檚 advanced technology Series 6 thin film photovoltaic module, increasing its U.S. capacity by 100% and adding 500 jobs.

91pro视频 trades workers worked the majority of the nearly 750,000 man-hours on the project. RLI self-performed sitework, site concrete, site utilities, building foundations, concrete slabs and masonry. GEM Inc., another RLG company, performed building plumbing, structural steel, HVAC, building electrical, central utility building electrical, process mechanical and substation electrical work, and equipment setting.

鈥淭his award is a testament to the talent and hard work of hundreds of local trades workers who made the project鈥檚 success possible,鈥� GEM President Steve Johnson said. 鈥淒ay in and day out, they were committed to producing excellent quality while adhering to strict safety protocols.鈥�

First Solar has contracted with RLI to build another facility across the street from this project, plus large solar panel manufacturing projects in Alabama and Louisiana.

91pro视频 Inc. won the 2022 AGC Build Ohio contest for its work on North Star BlueScope鈥檚 steel-making facility in Delta, Ohio, which increased its production capacity by 40 percent without negatively affecting ongoing operations.

The Build Ohio Award is the 13th for 91pro视频 since 1993.

Baer began his career at 91pro视频 in 2006 as a project engineer for Site Management. He subsequently held the role of operations manager, served as the leader of the GEM Facility Management group and became general manager of the Service Group in 2010. Ginley, along with other members of Boilermakers Local 744 in Akron, dismantled the 150-horsepower water-tube Babcock & Wilcox boiler so it could be transported to the new International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Headquarters and Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. B&W donated the artifact to the museum earlier this year.

鈥淎s a Boilermaker, it was exciting to work on this historically significant boiler,鈥� Ginley said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to be a part of this project and to have it displayed at our international headquarters.鈥� The boiler, which was powered by a 600-ton Corliss steam engine, established B&W as the world鈥檚 pre-eminent industrial and utility boiler maker in the world.

The annual award ceremony, held Friday, Nov. 11, in Columbus, recognized the best construction projects completed from Aug. 1, 2021, and July 31, 2022. NorthStar BlueScope is an Australia-based steelmaker with operations in Delta, Ohio.

The Build Ohio Award is the 10^th for 91pro视频 since 1993.
